Training a Malinois

As mentioned before, a Malinois needs lots of activity. Just playing fetch and going on walks won't be enough. Agility, Obedience Training and Scent Work offer them the right mix between physical and mental exercise. It is a daily requirement to train! Even at only eight weeks, a puppy is able start basic training.

To complement their training, play sessions with the right toys are lots of fun. Beware of leaving them alone with a chew toy, as they are powerful enough to break even the sturdiest toys in minutes if not supervised!

To sustain their high energy, make sure to always provide water and give them dog food with high nutritional value, meaning high protein content and lots of calories. As they are very food-driven, offering them treats as a reward is good for getting training results!
